This is the UCR Pre-Registration for the 2026 year, allowing you to pre-register for the UCR Registration before the open registration date of October 1st, 2025. All pre-registrations include a reduced filing fee of 10% across all tiers except the tier of 1001+ trucks, which has no reduced fees for the pre-registration period. Once the registration opens on October 1st, 2025, the fees will be increased by 10% for the tiers from 0 trucks to 1000 trucks.
All motor carriers, brokers, and leasing companies that haul across state lines or within a state that adheres to the UCR program, are required to register their US DOT Numbers with the Unified Carrier Registration.
All UCR filings will be processed during normal business hours.
As of June 2025, the fees for the 2026 year are noted to remain the same. If any adjustments to the UCR fees are made where the fees are increased, pre-registrations may be cancelled and refunded. If the pre-registration does need to be refunded due to fee adjustments, an email will be sent to notify you via the email provided during the time of pre-registration, along with a link to refile the UCR.
Starting January 1st, 2026, all relevant companies in the trucking industry, that lack Unified Carrier Registration compliance, may be subjected to citations, fines, and penalties imposed by individual states, the DOT and the board of the Unified Carrier Registration. You will also not be allowed to renew your trucks' registrations as well as IFTA. In order to ensure complete compliance, the aforementioned freight hauling companies are advised to verify that the number of trucks requiring registration matches the amount listed on the MCS-150 / Biennial Update that was last filed (this number will affect filing fee and truck tier pricing). For brokers, it is recommended to complete this registration under the 0-2 trucks section if business operations include interstate activity (if brokering any loads outside of the state the company is operating in).
Please note, pricing listed at checkout is for the UCR filing fee as assessed by the UCR board for the year for the number of registered trucks on file, service charge fee, filing fee and there may be additional fees for processing time as well as a certificate.
